In Search of Gold

In Search of Gold (2017) is a series that utilizes symbolism to explore issues of self help, vulnerability, and the process of healing.
 

The abstract gold patterns never quite covering the black, represent the trial and error of seeking a remedy and lies in a complementary aesthetic to honeycombs which are featured as patterned reminders of experiences, leaving behind marks even after they’re gone. The seething irreversibility of various inks is purposefully harnessed to represent circumstances that can stain and transform one’s life.

Ultimately, the series encompasses a transformation into strength and courage.
